Volunteer Opportunities

Parents and family members of current Bentley students are actively involved in a number of volunteer programs on and off campus, helping enhance the Bentley experience for both students and their families. Involvement with the campus community also provides invaluable opportunities for you to connect with other Bentley parents, families, alumni, students, staff and faculty.

Available volunteer opportunities include:

  • Parents Committee focuses on keeping parents informed about Bentley activities, policies, programs, concerns and plans for future development with a special concentration on the Parents Fund.
  • Parents Fund strives to make a difference on the Bentley campus by raising funds to enhance student life and learning. These donations help close a critical gap between tuition and the cost of educating each student.
  • Parent Connectors play a vital role in helping parents network with one another. They serve as a resource for both current and prospective Bentley students and their families.
  • Career Ambassadors have an active interest in opening doors for Bentley students and alumni as they begin their professional careers.

Corporate Partnerships

Through corporate partnerships, students gain valuable, real-world experience by working with top managers and companies to solve current business problems. And your own organization just may be able to help students put their skills to the test. A number of Bentley parents have sought the assistance of students in tackling business challenges faced by their companies — and have achieved real results. Following are just a few examples:

Welch's
The company was interested in developing a brand-new, 100-percent grape juice carbonated beverage. Bentley students examined Welch's market research and conducted concept tests, brainstorming sessions, and blind taste tests in the Center for Marketing Technology. They worked with Welch's marketing, research and development, finance and production teams to develop names, label designs, packaging preferences, and product options for further consumer testing.

GreatPaths
Revamping the job search for new college graduates is the goal of startup company GreatPaths. Their strategy: a Facebook application that directl matches employers and qualified job seekers. Bentley students completed research proving the idea's potential for success, held focus groups, and crafted a guerilla marketing campaign encompassing blogs, YouTube videos, a web site, and Twitter. And their work didn't end there — students even pitched the concept to three different venture capital firms on behalf of the company.
